Lego

Simply fantastic. What an awesome machine.

Incredible.

9YO’s LEGO creation: Dude taking a nap after Thanksgiving dinner. Must’ve had a decaf coffee by mistake?

Mugshot Monday (p.m. edition!) - “LEGO” coffee mug(s) w/ Hard Lemonade by Sand Creek Brewing Company.
That’s my Uncle Jim and he’s a HUGE fan of Legos. My Aunt Flo and Uncle Jim gave my kids gift certificates to Legoland for their birthdays so we had to head out to Mall of America with them to check out some new bricks.
While we were there, Flo bought Jim an early birthday present — a new personalized Lego coffee mug. Alas, there is no ‘Karl’ Lego coffee mug (WHATEVER!), so I am posing with my wife’s ‘Mom’ coffee mug the kids got her for Mother’s Day.
As for the Hard Lemonade we are drinking from the mugs this evening — that’s part of a huge selection of beer my mom and dad brought from Sand Creek Brewing Company. They toured the brewery on their way to Minneapolis when they came up to visit this weekend. That’s some good beer.

The new Legoland at Mall of America is pretty dang awesome. [See bigger]
As chance would have it, the family and I were at MOA on grand opening day of the new Legoland store. We didn’t see the unveiling, but we did check out the new area and all the new awesome HUGE Lego creations, including “Hero-Bot 9000”, the blue Transformer-esque robot on top of the roof.
My 8-year-old’s reaction to seeing Hero-Bot 9000: “That’s the most amazingest thing I have ever seen.”

Happy Mother’s Day Breakfast in Bed Today
The three boys all helped make pancakes for mom this morning. This year, I remembered NOT to take pictures of the boys delivering the breakfast in bed to mom. As cute as it is, Mom didn’t dig that last time. This year, I decided to just take this photo.
I like how the card strapped to the present says WOW. The boys picked the items to compliment the pancakes: Coffee, Milk, Spirea Flowers, Peanut Butter, Whipped Cream, Sugar, and Syrup. I added the silverware and the napkins.
The boys did a great job and had a blast delivering the goods. MOM said it was awesome.
