Interesting post on the Pinterest.com logo design process — the new logo was launched May 3, 2011. This was the paragraph written about the image above:

It was uniquely easy to get a good undersatnding of the Pinterest audience. The whole site is a giant dynamic moodboard for its users (if only every project could have that luxury!)  We agreed that the previous logo was already a start in the right direction, and that keeping with a script logotype was appropriate. But there are an infinite number of voices a script can have.

That’s a solid collection of scriptishlu awesome logos. Michael Deal and Juan Carlos Pagan helped with the new logo. It’s a good read.

I don’t visit StarTribune.com often. But when I do, I remember why because the experience makes me want to throw chairs.

This is cool. My only beef with Scott E. Fahlman’s invention is that smiley faces don’t have noses. :)

I’m still not growing a mustache. They didn’t do the same ad with John Ritter. Yeah, exactly.

Mugshot Monday - “Chank Fonts” ceramic coffee mug w/ Organic French Roast by Peace Coffee.
No, really, that’s a ceramic mug! But it looks just like a coffee shop cup. And what’s more, it’s a *Chank Fonts* ceramic mug. And you can (and should) buy one for your very self right here.
I’ve admired Chank Diesel for a long time. I remember working as a graphic designer in the production department at City Pages, and we would get “camera ready” ads on disk (that’d be on a Syquest 44MB disk, by the way. It was the ’90s, yo.) And we started seeing some new awesome fonts being used. We then found out they were made by a local MSP guy.
“Wow! You can make your own fonts?! Coolio.” I recall saying to myself. Also, I remember Mr. Frisky being one of my favorites.
Many thanks to Luke at Clockwork for lending me HIS Chank mug while my very own is being processed and shipped.

This is the coolest 6-pack packaging I have ever seen. And I got the last one at Zipps on Saturday. This is ‘Bitter American Extra Pale Ale’ by 21st Amendment Brewery — I found out it’s a late winter seasonal brew, so when I say ‘last one’ that’s it until next year. Read my favorable review here.
