Now THAT is a beautiful coffee mug. A 12 ounce giant.

The coffee they serve here at Quixotic is a combination Pour Over and French Press — something I’ve never had before. It’s a very smooth cup of coffee, perfect for a Monday. And this is a very cool coffee shop. I enjoyed chatting up baristas Steve and Shelly who both agreed this has been the sunniest Monday in in the Twin Cities in a long time.

Received ANOTHER MN Winter Storm Warning this morning calling for snow tonight (it’s APRIL-Freaking-Twenty-Second, yo). My kids will want to make another Springtime Snowman tomorrow morning, so I thought I should try and lighten my mood by drinking from my Snowman coffee mug today. 

It’s not helping.

This coffee mug came all the way from Norway!

My wife has relatives from Meråker, Norway and they stopped by Minneapolis for a quick visit — that’s Hanne and me with two of my three boys piling in for the mugshot. Hanne has a wonderful family and we always enjoy seeing them. And they brought this official Meråker coffee mug! It’s perfect.

Mugshot Monday - “University of Wisconsin-La Crosse” coffee mug with Birchwood Blend by Peace Coffee

My nephew Nigel gave me this coffee mug for Christmas! I dig that text on the inside of the cup. Nigel is going to UW La Crosse as a biomedical major in the Pre-Med program. He’ll be a doctor soon enough! I went to UW Eau Claire (where I met Nigel’s Aunt) and am just now realizing I don’t have a UWEC coffee mug! Huh.

Thanks for the coffee mug, Nigel!

Waiting for my flat tire to get fixed across the street at Bakers Square because they have WIFI. I always thought it should be “Restaurant & Bakery”. Or take the “s” off of “Pies” at least. I can let go of no apostrophe in “Baker’s”, tho.
