Mugshot Monday - “Cute Kittens Playing Cute and Hearts and Cute Bows” coffee mug w/ Eight O’Clock coffee.
We went to the cabin this weekend, my wife’s parent’s cabin, near Minong, Wisconsin. This mug with cute kittens has been there forever, and has always been a favorite of mine. There are other coffee mugs with muskies, bass, and trout, and there is another one that says, “To My Secretary”. Most of the coffee mugs made it to the cabin like the other dishes and utensils and pots and pans — they were the odds and ends that were taken out of the rotation at home. Functional, yet not as… exquisite. “Cabin-ware.”
If you are a cat lover (I am not) you become short of breath when you see this mug. The kittens are playing so lovingly. I know this, because there are hearts on the mug. I think it is an action shot, because the heads of the kittens are elongated to show their playful dexterity. Is the kitten on the left fixing the bow of the kitten on the right?
These types of questions make this mug awesome.
Nobody knows where this coffee mug came from. Maybe it came with flowers a long time ago? There is no credit on the bottom of the coffee mug. Artist unknown. Distributor unknown. Origin of manufacturing unknown. A Google Images Search came up empty.
This coffee mug lives on as an undiscovered legend, at a cabin in Minong. So I sip coffee from it every chance I get.
