Mugshot Monday - “Gordon C. Krause Cattail” coffee mug w/Twin Cities Blend by Peace Coffee.
This coffee mug was made by my mother’s cousin Gordy Krause. He’s a great guy, and an awesome potter.
Gordy runs Fireworks Pottery out of Sheboygan, Wisconsin with his wife Jean and sells his wares at art fairs and by order online. We always buy his wind chimes for friends who bought a new house. We also commissioned him to make our house numbers.
He’s done some really nice work for churches, too. You can see many of these pieces on his website here.
This coffee mug unfortunately has been relegated to my display case — it has a large crack on one side (non-facing side in the photo). The mug still holds coffee, though! I was able to drink my Peace Coffee today without incident.
