Does anyone know how to drill a 3.25 inch diameter hole about 5 inches into a bowling ball?
I want to make a coffee mug out of a bowling ball.
The finger holes would be the “handle” and I would drill a hole in the right spot big enough for the coffee to go in. I suppose I’d have to cut a slice off what the new “bottom” of the bowling ball coffee mug would be, so you could set it down on the kitchen table while reading the newspaper.
I came up with the idea after posting this Mugshot Monday.
UPDATE 1: It was recommended to me via Twitter that I contact the House of Balls for advice. PERFECT. Email sent.
Update 2: Looks like I need a “highly specialized drill press” for bowling balls (sent via):

Update 3: Also via Twitter: I need a “water jet cutter”. Looks like my local hardware store will not have one of these, tho.
