Mugshot Monday - “The Electric Fetus - Since 1968” mug w/ Pollinator Blend by Peace Coffee. BACKSTORY: I was given this mug by Dawn Novak back in the ’90s when I was a graphic designer at City Pages. We’d do these 4 or 8 page Electric Fetus double trucks for their big CD sales events, and Dawn, who runs advertising and more at the Fetus, would drop off swag and CDs as a thank you. Scanning and placing thumbnails of 50+ CD covers took time, man. The back of the mug is a CD jacket for ‘G Love & Special Sauce, Coast to Coast Motel.” The Electric Fetus logo on the front was designed by John Hanson, who did just about everyone’s music concert poster in the ’90s.
