Mugshot Monday - “Union Pacific Railroad” coffee mug with Birchwood Blend by Peace Coffee
I came to work last week and found this Union Pacific coffee mug on my desk. It was a gift from Norbet Angell — he is my coworker Alyson’s father! He discovered my Mugshot Monday project and wanted to contribute a mug. He had worked for Union Pacific and had a spare coffee mug to share. I asked Norbert about what he did when he worked there:
Early in my career, I was a brakeman, conductor, fireman, locomotive engineer. I also served in various other positions over the years as a: Director of Transportation, Director of Terminal Operations, Director of Operations Support, and Director of Road Operations. During my entire time in management I never forgot my roots. I maintained my locomotive engineers license, which is current today. I enjoyed operating over 20,000 tons of screaming steel with 18,000 horsepower, @ 70mph. I retired after 38 years.
That’s pretty awesome. Love the coffee mug. Thanks, Norbert!
