Mugshot Monday - “Caribou Coffee” coffee mug with Obsidian Roast

Caribou Coffee is Coffee Shop #8 in Vita.mn’s list of “Best Coffee Hangouts” I’m visiting (see progress here and scroll down) — It wasn’t clear to me which Caribou location actually made the list (no address was given), so I picked the one I’ve frequented the most — the one on Washington Avenue.

Plus this location has a faux fireplace and it’s suddenly freezing in Minneapolis now, so this seemed like destiny on caffeine to me.

I would come to this Caribou when I worked a few blocks away at the Star Tribune in 2007 — Jennifer, Ann, Patrick, Kelly, Pam, or Brian and I would make a run. It’s a cozy space and I like their café mochas.

The coffee mug I am holding belongs to my wife and is a full-on ceramic travel mug with a metal liner. That’s pretty bad-ass for a coffee shop chain to offer up. Awesome mug.
