adambez: iteeth: We definitely could use a bike-awareness campaign like LA’s, which reminds motorists to give cyclists three feet of clearance, in downtown Minneapolis. Love this idea. When I was on a bike tour in rural Ireland — where the streets not only have no bike lanes, but don’t really have enough room for two lanes of cars — I noticed that the ONCOMING cars would move over so then the cars PASSING me had room to move over and give me 3 feet when passing. I was impressed (and relieved). They know the drill over there, and obviously they learned it through some kind of marketing or PSA like this.
