20 Images That Will Change Your Life

I dig this anti-SOPA piece. Well done.

Tumblr participates in the SOPA/PIPA protest by giving users the option to black out their personal Tumblr blogs. I did not participate [obviously] because I’m just small-fry potatoes, yo. Anyway, kudos to Tumblr for this effort.

If a sales organization spent their energy on understanding their customer’s actual experience and behavior and then sought to deliver services that made their lives a little easier, they might end up with a great strategy for building enduring relationships. Inevitably it would actually point to creating content that is helpful to customers/prospects/influencers. So, right back to that content marketing model we are all working on just within the context of delivering service.

Well said. Good post. One more quote:

I am all for quick hits and big solutions. I would suggest committing to a content strategy based upon delivering the most useful content possible to your customer’s decision-making process.

Agree with that, too. Doing it really well is the challenge.

Mugshot Monday - “MinnPost: For News Junkies” coffee mug with Snowshoe Brew by Peace Coffee
Timing is everything, as they say.
Today, I had no coffee mug for a Mugshot Monday when I see my friend Corey posting to his tumblr that the brand spanking new MinnPost coffee mugs had arrived!
I worked at MinnPost for three years — it’s a really great online only member supported news start-up. I made a MinnPost coffee mug when I was there, but these are way cooler.
I drove over to MinnPost HQ and bought two mugs. I also got to see my former MinnPost coworkers. Love those guys.
Corey will be setting up an online form for you to purchase your very own MinnPost coffee mug, or just email him to expedite the transaction (canderson[at]minnpost[dot]com). The mugs are $10.

A Taste Of Thing To Come? of the Day: Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales has just announces via Twitter that he will be joining the anti-SOPA blackout planned for this Wednesday, January 18th.
Starting at midnight EST, the English version of Wikipedia will go dark for 24 hours, crippling student reports everywhere, and hopefully bringing much-needed attention to the Internet killing bill and its congressional sibling, PIPA.
Even though SOPA was shelved over the weekend after President Obama expressed opposition to the bill, it is still expected to reemerge.
Reddit’s Internet blackout initiative, which was officially unveiled last week, has been steadily picking up steam, with multiple Internet giants announcing their intentions to follow suit.
A list of sites that have confirmed their participation can be found here.

Some businesses listen. Bon Iver asks a question and the business answers in 30 min. Listening always wins.

Well done Waldorf of NYC! That’s more than “listening” on twitter — that’s some serious twitter marketing CSI.
