Newsrooms are low on resources, apply those resources efficiently. Your 500 word re-write of the same article your “competitor,” as you call them, is un-necessary and a total waste of time. — Anthony De Rosa, from a short very good and to-the-point post “Stop matching”. I like De Rosa doesn’t even have to dwell on the issue of giving other news sources credit for work. He suggests the ROI of “matching” isn’t there.

Mugshot Monday - “The Bad Waitress” coffee mug w/ Spring Blend by Kickapoo Coffee — and special guest Christopher Pollard
I don’t go to the Bad Waitress often enough. So I totally forgot you have to write your order on the little order form at the table and bring it up. I just thought they were just living up to their name by not taking our order.
I saw Chris at the Ciceron MBA event last Thursday and we agreed to meet for a Mugshot Monday today. We had a great conversation over the best Rhubarb Pancakes I’ve ever had. Soooo good. And The Bad Waitress always has awesome coffee mugs.
Previous mugshot with Chris is here: “Mickey’s Dining Car”
