Many years ago, clicking was the simple answer to this question. The general thought was that if you made your page too long, users would only view and read the top half and glance over or ignore the bottom half. Today, things have changed. Many users do scroll to the end of the page and have no problem doing so. Scrolling has become a second-nature and clicking a chore. As user behavior changes over time, designers need to take that into account in their designs. —
Why Scrolling is the New Click, 01/10/12
I still today in 2014 get into heated discussions about designing web experiences where “above the fold” trumps scrolling. Can you imagine the outrage if Tumblr made us click to see the next post in the dashboard?
Beware the tree octopus!
THis is amazing.
Mugshot Monday - “I Like My Electrician” Gotto Electric coffee mug with Guatemalan Dark Roast by Peace Coffee
A good dependable trustworthy electrician is super important. Also, it helps if you actually LIKE them.
Gotto Electric has a great campaign on Facebook right now: If you LIKE them on Facebook, they’ll send you a coffee mug for customers to shoot a selfie and and post on their page. I’m biased, of course. I love a good mugshot. But it’s also a excellent advocacy play: True advocates of Grotto Electric can publicly let their Facebook friends know.
Quick clarification: Gotto Electric is not my electrician, but that’s ONLY due to the fact that I live in Minnesota and they provide services to residents of Pennsylvania! They sent me this coffee mug because they’re awesome like that. So if you’re in PA, give them a call — AFTER you check if you’re friends have liked them on Facebook with their own Mugshot!

Mugshot Monday - “Social Media Breakfast — Minneapolis / Saint Paul” coffee mug with special guest SMBMSP Director Mykl Roventine!
Mykl and I planned this Mugshot probably 16 months ago. I’m not sure how often SMBMSP happens on a Monday, but I told him that I’d do a Mugshot Monday at the next one — if he delivered the coffee mug.
Today was the day! As SMBMSP Director, Mykl has also been delivering great discussions surrounding the social media industry since 2009. Today’s event was no different — Arik Hanson and Danny Olson had an awesome list of case studies for their presentation, “8 Golden Rules for Sure-Fire Success with Facebook Ads" (I will link to video when it is live). It was a very enjoyable talk and I highly recommend you watch it if you’re in the biz.
Thanks for the coffee mug, Mykl!

"Doubt remained, however, about how soon the proposed expressway might be built."
Indeed! Still ain’t never been built. Minneapolis Star, 8/1/1969
Found this when I moved into my house. Yes, the photo on this page is “the Eagle” which had landed on the moon.
This is excellent:
